Introducing our new colour Kōanga for our Pātaka Ārai Kai
Our soft, durable silicone bibs are designed with a meaningful pātaka kai print, grounding whānau in traditional tikanga and the Māori values around kai.
The wide scoop pocket is perfect for catching dropped food during mealtimes, helping to keep your little one (and the floor) tidy. With an adjustable neck fastening, they’re easy to put on and take off, and just as simple to clean — rinse by hand or pop in the dishwasher. BPA free, practical, and made with care.
Also available in Kūtai (green), and Māhoe (purple) – with each ārai kai featuring a pātaka kai print and subtle brand engraving.
Pātaka kai:
Meaning 'food storage', these were traditionally built on stilts in order to preserve kai and protect it from any damage that animals might cause. It is a traditional Māori way of looking after kai. The term 'pātaka kai' is commonly used nowadays for a community pantry.
